Process

The top-ranked 10 application will be chosen.  An appointed member/representative of the organization (Berbice Guyana) will visit the child’s school and verify the contents of the child’s application.

Points of Verification
Regular attendance at school
Confirm academic excellence (grades) and thus chances of succeeding at eligibility for CXC
Financial need
Community Involvement

Once verified the top 5 children will be chosen.

All applicants must first apply for Caribbean Community Secondary Examination (CXC) subsidy from their school in order to be considered for additional support

The student will submit a copy of the payment voucher (including receipt of subsidy approval) to the organization including proof successful subsidy application

During the month of October/November an appointed member of the organization will ensure that the the approved student will accompany an appointed member of the organization to the bank to register payment.
